Bro. Leroy Upshaw: National Travelers Greatest Hits

Bro. Leroy Upshaw and the National Travelers compile their finest moments of Praise Gospel on the Good News Gospel compact disc release, Greatest Hits. A native of Carterville, GA, Upshaw has been singing since 1965 with the Spiritual Four, later changing their name to The National Travelers. The popularity of the group took off in the 1970’s and has continued to make The National Travelers a mainstay of gospel musical events. Upshaw is heard weekly as the host of the Praising Times Gospel Show on WAEC 860AM every Saturday at 1PM. WAEC is the South’s leading gospel radio show. The Greatest Hits contains sought-after recordings from The National Travelers’ recordings from the 1970’s through the 1990’s. Upshaw has been awarded the Golden Gospel Award and the Fulton County (Georgia) Board of Commissioners’ Proclamation Award For Gospel. A member of the Masonic Lodge since 1965, Upshaw was ordained as a Deacon in 1986 at Sardis Baptist Church in Kennesaw, GA.
